Well, this is awkward… but here we go, let’s talk about me!
I’m a San Francisco Bay Area based writer, editor, podcaster, and maker of hilarious viral videos.
I cut my editing teeth at the world’s leading lesbian publication, Curve Magazine, where I began as an editorial intern and worked my way up through the ranks to finally serve as the publication’s Managing Editor. In my time there, I had the privilege of interviewing hundreds of inspiring and talented people including Joss Whedon, Beth Ditto, Pam Grier, and Suze Orman.
During this time, I also served as a contributing writer covering some of my other great passions including video games, technology, and entertainment at Joystiq and Tecca. I also have consulted on several triple-A video game titles including Tomb Raider (2013), Hitman: Absolution, and Sleeping Dogs. Spoiler alert: It was awesome.
From there I moved into the world of viral content, as Lead Editor at Movoto Real Estate where I was a key part of a viral content site that grew from 2,000 to more than 18 million visitors per month, in just two years.
My focus has since moved to video production, directing, and editing viral videos that, to date, have generated more than 4.9 million views on YouTube.
When I’m not plotting my next video shoot, I love to create things. I am an avid sewist and DIY-er. I love taking inspiration from vintage fashion (the ’20s and ’30s in particular) and the horror and sci-fi genres to create one of a kind accessories and garments. Or I’m watching a horror, sci-fi, or fantasy movie under one or more snoring cats.
